What is Green Tea ? Scientific name of tea plant is Camellia sinensis. All tea’s are brewed from the leaves of the same plant, whether it is Black, Brown or Green. What makes the tea black, brown or green depends on the way the tea leaves are processed and other additives added. The Tea leaves utilized for making green tea are subjected to a minimum of processing so that the green tea leaves can retain most of the useful nutrients and health benefits.

Due to various health benefits, people in China and Japan were using green tea since the time immemorial. For the last several years the importance of the green tea is realized all over the World and its consumption is increasing day by day.

Soon after picking tea leaves they are subjected to heat, often by steaming. After heating or steaming the leaves are dried. After drying, they are either packed and sold as green tea or sometimes the dried leaves are subjected to further minor processing. In case of other teas, the picked leaves are dried by withering a process in which the leaves are rolled and cut which promotes oxidation.

Due to this Oxidation, most of the useful nutrients are lost from tea. Then the leaves are further dried to prevent Oxidation. After drying and curing the leaves are packed and sold. The tea prepared from such tea leaves will be black. As Black tea is widely used in the Western Hemisphere , milk is added in some Asian countries, where the tea looks Brown. This type of tea is mostly used in the Indian Sub-Continent.

Since most of the nutrients and antioxidants are lacking in Black and Brown teas, the health benefits are minimum. However when compared, black tea is proved to be more beneficial over tea where milk is added.

Health point of view, Green tea is the best, since most of the essential nutrients as well as antioxidants are still retained in the Green Tea. As several studies have indicated that green tea contains powerful antioxidants, which boost health and immunity when consumed in moderation.

There are several specific health benefits attributed to green tea, like anti aging, anti cancer, Weight Loss and may help in preventing or reducing the risk of Alzheimer’s disease. Some studies also indicate that green tea consumption is helpful for osteoarthritis patients.

Just a small message to all Facebook users who are looking to create the list for this purpose. The list would remain as the last time you left it. For example, if you have added ‘Bittu’ to the list, the next time you login to Facebook, Bittu would appear on the same list.

Here are five steps to Convert PDF to OCR

Second hard-copy document when saved into PDF Format, Computer can not differentiate between the Scanned page of text and a Photograph. It will not be possible to search or select for the text on the page to copy or paste. For searching and selecting the text, we must run OCR (Optical Charactor Recognition) on the document. Though Adobe Acrobat Professional provides this function, free version of Adobe Acrobat is not useful.

However by searching the web software can be obtained to run OCR on a PDF Document.

Five Steps How to run Optical Character Recognition “OCR” on a PDF Document (Convert PDF to OCR)

1. Loading Adobe Acrobat Professional, since the OCR feature of Acrobat Professional is not available on the Web Browser plug-in, loading the actual program is necessary.

2. Load the PDF Document with text that can not be selected to copy and paste.

3. Run OCR on the PDF Document in Adobe Acrobat Professional, Click the “Document” Menu. Then select ” OCR Text Recognition”, now click on “Recognition Text using OCR”.

4. Now you can choose OCR options. When we click “Recognition text using OCR” a new Windows will appear and asks us to select the page range on which we want to run the OCR, when we choose the number of pages to be selected for running OCR click “OK”. Now Acrobat Professional begins to Recognize the text in the selected pages of our Document.

5.Once OCR is complete, search for the text and copy and paste the text just as we do with a PDF distilled from Microsoft Word. However OCR Technology is not perfect in recognizing some fnts like Handwriting and poorly scanned documents.

This is the way on how you can Convert PDF to OCR.

What is Drug Detox ? – Getting rid off the harmful substances that have been acquired by the body due to the use and abuse of Drugs can be called as Drug Detox or Drug Detoxification. As Detox period refers to the period of time, when the body is trying to over come its Addiction to any chemical substance, either Natural or synthetic.

There are several types of Detoxification procedures are available to treat Drug addicts. The choice depends on the Chemical, which the patient is addicted to, his physical and mental health, age, social background, religious beliefs, the severity and duration of Addiction.

Like Drug Detox, opiate Detox procedures main objective is to get rid of the harmful substances for which the person got addicted or dependent.

Opiates like Heroin and Methadone are some of the most effective painkillers. When used on over doses(more than the dose and frequency) can cause Addiction and Tolerance on people. Where Methadone is a synthetic pain killer which can effect the central nervous system and give pain relief almost twice that of Morphine and more toxic too. Methadone is prefered to treat pain because it does not cause any Withdrawal symptoms and keep the patient satisfied and happy.

One of the most common method of Opiate Detox is to use Methadone in an approved clinic and slowly reduce the dose to zero over a period of about 21 days.

What is Drug Abuse – Know about Drug Detox

If those Drugs are used once a while with in normal doses for a particular illnes, these Drugs may not usually cause Addiction or dependencey. However when a person uses drugs to have good time or if a person finds unable to get through any period withour Drug Abuse, he or she must probably has a Drug Addiction problem.

First we must know about What is Alcohol Abuse and Alcohol Addiction ? Where, Alcohol Addiction is a disease which can be cured. However there are certain preconditions which can help in total and successful cure and Rehabilitation from Alcoholism.

1. First and foremost is acceptance of the problem by person addiction, Addicted to Alcohol. The Alcoholic must realize that he has a problem of Alcohol Abuse and he has to sincerely desire to get cured. Unless the person Addicted to Alcohol sincerely desires to come out of the problem of Alcoholism, all other efforts made by others like relatives, friends, family, and well wishers etc. May not give permanent and long lasting results.

Where Alcohol Abuse Rehabilitation can be conveniently divided into four stages.

Stage 1 – Initiation of Treatment – The first stage were an Alcoholic seeks help from a professional Alcohol Rehabilitation program. The results will be more positive when the Alcohol Addict himself realizes his problem and seeks help. Rather than when he is forced to join by others like family and friends etc, against his will.

During this stage, due to several psychosomatic reasons, patients may sometimes may feel uncomfortable and try to justify their drinking habits and revert back. This can be one of the major hurdles for permanent recovery.

Stage 2 – Early Abstinence – During this stage the patients kept away from drinking. This early abstinence stage is the most different phase, where the patient may suffer withdrawal symptoms, physical and psychological craving for Alcohol. These cravings can be strong enough to through the patient into a Relapse.

This is the stage where an Alcoholic needs experts help of a well trained, professional Counselor. He trains the patient the necessary skills and mechanism to Cope up with the situation and lead a normal life. These are the tools which help the patient to total recovery subsequently. This stage lasts for about 90 days.

Stage 3 – Maintenance and Abstinence – After early Abstinence stage of 90 days, the patient will enter into the next stage- i.e maintenance of abstinence. If the patient is treated by a residential rehab program, the patient can be treated as out patient from this Stage 3.

Where the Alcohol Abuse patient will get regular counseling from well trained professionals. They council the patients how to maintain abstinence from Alcohol. The patient is made aware of the early warning symptoms and stages that can lead to a Relapse.

During Stage 3, the patient in addition to maintaining abstinence will also learn to live a Sober life. He will gradually learn to develope healthy relationships, dealing the past and living to learn in the present, emotional balance.

He will realize and take healthy interest in physical exercise and healthy food. He diverts his thoughts and actions for leading normal and happy life by paying attention to employment and Money Management.

Step 4 – Advanced Recovery – This is when the patient is totally free from Alcohol Abuse and leading a healthy normal life. When a person abstains from Alcohol for a period of over five years, we may say he is on the normal track of life.

These are the 4 stages and Information on Treatment for Alcohol Abuse or Alcohol Addiction.
